Judith is a Senior Lecturer in Film-making and Creative Media at the University of the West of England and Co-founder of i-Docs, the international forum for discussion around emergent platforms for documentary storytelling, based in the Digital Cultures Research Centre.

She began as a multimedia pioneer working on innovative documentary projects in the late 1980s and has been involved with cross-platform documentary-making ever since. She holds an MA in the Social Sciences from the University of Cambridge, a PhD in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art, and has recently been elected as a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in recognition of her innovative work with interactive media.

She received a Future Documentary grant to work with Jeanie on the research and development for ‘I Am Orion’ and is currently writing a paper about this work for publication later in the year. Her blog posts about the project can be found on the REACT Future Documentary website.
